We have been asked to create a small program that is able to track and register the amount of boats passing through part of Sejer\u00f8bugten. There is a radar placed on Neksel\u00f8 which generates pictures like this every 3 minutes.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/viscomp.alexandra.dk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/radar-image.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-3824 \" src=\"http:\/\/viscomp.alexandra.dk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/radar-image-1024x745.jpg\" alt=\"radar-image\" width=\"640\" height=\"466\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>As you might notice there is a lot of noise in the image so a basic mask is created to subtract the ground. To help identify moving objects a trail is added between signals (If you look at the center of the radar and to the left, you should see a red dot, with a blue &#8220;tail&#8221; &#8211; this is a boat).
